Summer operations opened on June 14th with the lower section of the resort, from Bald Eagle to Snow Park Lodge, open to mountain biking. Due to conditions, Bald Mountain is only accessible for scenic chair rides at this time. Operating chairlifts include Silver Lake Express, Homestake Express, and Sterling Express. Twilight Series returns with lift operations running into Tuesday evenings from 4pm to 8pm. Trails on Bald Mountain will open as conditions allow. The Deer Valley staff is putting in their best effort to accelerated the snow melt.
The highlight of this summer season is the completed construction of the new trail, Undertow, offering an alternative route down the mountain from the top of Homestake Express to the base of the resort, Snow Park Lodge. Undertow a 3.5 mile, single-track trail, with berm turns and rollers. This is the 4th trail built over the last 4 years.
Also new this season, is the RFID ticketing system, which will be tested throughout the summer in preparation for the busier winter season. Daily tickets are $25; however, discounted tickets are being sold until all mountain biking trails are opened. Season passes are available for $425.
Another exciting inaugural activity available this season at Deer Valley Resort is the afternoon E-Bike Tours available from 2pm to 5pm daily. It’s a cool, new way to navigate the trails of the resort. The cost of the tour, including the bike, is $150 per rider and group size will range from 1 to 12 riders. Reservations are encouraged. Please note: E-Bike Riding is not permitted without a guided tour.
