Friend of Stein's: Tom Kelly

Tom Kelly

As a Park City resident of over 35 years, Tom has been telling stories and exploring ski culture for longer than anyone. He is a talented writer, public speaker, photographer, and, most importantly, a great person.

Tom was a dear friend of Stein Eriksen himself and is always a welcome guest at Stein Collection. Tom currently hosts a podcast that features many guests, including Chef Zane Holmquist, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Stein Collection. He also sits on the board of the Alf Engen Ski Museum. In 2018 Kelly, was inducted into the US Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame. If all of those accolades weren't enough, he has been logging about 60 ski days a season for over 50 years.

Park City Arts Council sat down with Tom Kelly a while back and gave us an entertaining read that you can find here.

Tom is about as authentic as they come when it comes to prominent figures in the ski community. In the future, we will be featuring Tom in presenting historical facts about Stein Collection properties, Deer Valley Resort, Stein Eriksen the person, and much more.

In the meantime, you may see Tom around town, on his skis, or dining on property. Be sure to tell him how much you appreciate his prolific career and all he has achieved and will achieve!
