Park City,

The Stein Collection engineering team works across four hotel properties. Team members are dedicated to the needs of the Stein Eriksen Lodge, Stein Eriksen Residences, and a team that works to keep the Chateaux and Chateaux Residences in tip-top shape.

What’s it like working in the engineering division? No two days are ever the same, as the team works to maintain property grounds, upkeep guest room quality, keep amenities running smoothly, and so much more.

Winter brings snow removal work and maintenance needs that are unique to the season. Brief shoulder seasons in the spring and fall allow for renovations and large-scale projects to be completed. In the summer, team members work hard to maintain beautiful outdoor spaces, all while simultaneously providing critical services to ensure guests experience the luxury accommodations Stein Collection properties are known for.

Specialized work within the engineering division includes hot tub maintenance, wood shop production, heavy machine operation, HVAC, basic plumbing and electrical work, refrigeration, Hydronics, boiler and chiller work, and mechanical maintenance for kitchen and laundry equipment. This team has an average tenure of about 8 years, with the longest-tenured employee at 37 years. With this rich history, a great deal of cross-training and knowledge transfer occurs within the team. Augmenting the year-round team is a contingent of yearlong J1 students gaining practical knowledge in their chosen academic field.
