Stein Eriksen Lodge Privacy Policy

Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley Privacy Policy

Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley (“Steins”) safeguards guest privacy. We have created this Privacy Policy in order to better familiarize you with the information we collect from hotel guests and web site visitors and the way in which Steins uses this information to better serve the needs of our guests.

Personal Information

The term "Personal Information" refers to any information that can be used to identify you as an individual. It can include, among other things, your name, address, age, gender, and email. Personal Information is collected to assist us in making your reservation and providing the services you request at any of our hotel.

How is Personal Information Collected and Stored

1. On our website

In addition to information provided by visitors to our web site, Steins monitors incoming and outgoing web traffic data by using cookies for diagnosis of server problems for web administration purposes and uses this data to collect general demographic information about all visitors to our site. This information allows us to ensure that we provide the most desired information to our visitors. As an important part of providing quality service, Steins may use cookies to store and track information. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies do not extract personal information, but only collect information about your visit to our website.  They do not convey viruses nor do they have the ability to read data stored on your computer.  We use this information to help us understand the interests of visitors to our website and to try to improve our website.  By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, or be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. Steins will access only those cookies that we have generated.

2. When Making a Reservation

If you decide that you would like to make a reservation at our hotel, you will be linked to our reservation service site. Although it appears to be part of our site, the reservation site is, in fact, provided by TravelClick Inc. which provides an automated reservations and distribution system to the travel industry. You can search for rates and availability at our hotel without providing any Personal Information. When you create a reservation profile you will be asked to provide specific Personal Information, including your name, address and contact information, as well as certain guarantee and deposit information to secure your reservation, such as your credit card number. Your transmittal of your Personal Information shall constitute your acknowledgment and agreement to the terms and conditions contained in this Privacy Policy. Due to the personal nature of the information you give when making a reservation through our web site, the reservation system is secure, such that your credit card number is protected with the most sophisticated encryption technology available and is transmitted on a private network.

3. During Your Stay at the Hotel

During your stay, we record your itemized spending to properly assemble your folio, which sets out your room rate and other expenses billed to your room. We also record this information to comply with financial reporting requirements, including those imposed by our auditors and government regulators. We may also collect certain information as required by local laws (e.g. passport number). Information particular to your stay may also be stored (i.e. health issues, payment difficulties, special requests, service issues). This stay specific information is stored in the property management system at the particular hotel where you stayed and is combined with information from previous visits that you have made to that hotel.

In addition, we may retain the content of any document (including letters, comment cards, electronic documents such as e-mails and other similar forms of communication) that you send us before, during or following your stay. This information may be shared with employees of the hotel but will not be shared with any third party. Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley maintains a database of Guest and Owner information which is used for marketing, promotion and research purposes. Guests and Owners will only receive such information if they have provided permission on the hotel web site, or in some other form.
