Wedding Scheduling
Menu selections and wedding planning can commence one to three months prior to your wedding. All arrangements with your wedding vendors (i.e. photographers, musicians, etc.) should be finalized before this meeting. Your Catering Manager will need a list of all vendors complete with addresses, cell phone numbers and a contact person.
Wedding Catering Manager
Your Stein Eriksen Lodge Catering Manager will:
- Answer any questions, provide wedding suggestions and act as your primary Stein Eriksen Lodge contact throughout the wedding planning process
- Act as menu consultant for all food and beverage selections
- Detail your Banquet Event Orders, outlining the wedding specifications
- Create a cost estimate of charges and your payment schedule for Stein Eriksen Lodge Wedding at Deer Valley Resort
- Recommend Stein Eriksen Lodge Contacts to assist you with arrangements for spa, beauty salon, amenities, transportation and rooms for your wedding guests
- Oversee the set-up of the contracted banquet space for the rehearsal, the wedding ceremony and the reception at Stein Eriksen Lodge
- Recommend preferred wedding vendors
- Assist with etiquette and guidance for your wedding ceremony, reception and toasts
- Create a time line for the wedding day, including the ceremony and reception
- Work with you to organize and coordinate your wedding ceremony’s rehearsal
- Be the liaison to your family, bridal party, band/DJ, florist, photographer, rental items, officiant and the Stein Eriksen Lodge staff the day of your wedding ceremony and reception
- Coordinate your wedding ceremony by arranging the bridal party, assisting the bride with dress, cueing the music, etc and to ensure a seamless transition to the Hotel’s Banquet Captain
- Coordinate your grand entrance, first dance, toasts, cutting of the wedding cake and any other events throughout your wedding reception
- Make arrangements to deliver all personal items, wedding gifts and envelopes to the appropriate location at the conclusion of the wedding
Outdoor Wedding
In order to ensure a successful wedding, Stein Eriksen Lodge will reconfirm the weather for your evening wedding by 2:00 p.m. that day. Due to our fluctuating weather, if the weather report predicts a 40% or more probability of rain for the afternoon or evening, a temperature below 65 degrees, or wind gusts in excess of 15 mph, your outdoor wedding will be relocated to your inside backup area. For breakfast events, the weather call will be made the prior evening; for lunch events, the weather call will be made at 7:00 a.m. A client requested delay resulting in a double set-up will be assessed a service charge of $10.00 per guaranteed wedding guest.
