Sarah Myers
Marketing and PR Manager
Sarah is the Marketing and PR Manager at Stein Eriksen Lodge. A native of Kennebunkport, Main, Sarah began skiing at an early age and the passion lead her to the Lodge which is rich with the spirit of skiing legend Stein Eriksen. Sarah enjoys the summers at the Lodge almost as much as the winter with the plethora of mountain biking and hiking trails to enjoy with friends and family.
Zane Holmquist
Executive Chef
As executive chef, Zane Holmquist leads the talented food and beverage team at Stein Eriksen Lodge and oversees the Lodge’s biannual menu development as well as the management of overall kitchen operations and special events. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., Holmquist displays his culinary versatility through the variety of dishes served to the Lodge’s guests. The majority of Holmquist’s award-winning dishes feature local produce and organic products. Holmquist joined the food and beverage team in 2000 and was promoted to executive chef in 2001.
Cara Schwindt
Sommeliere & Wine Director
Cara joined Stein Eriksen Lodge in 1998 and serves as one of the Sommeliers for the Five Diamond, Five Star property and assists guests in pairing the perfect wine with the Lodge’s delectable menu. As Wine Director, she is responsible for maintaining the Lodge’s superior wine collection, developing wine lists, and training the food and beverage staff. In 2006, Schwindt worked to develop in-house wine seminars that provide guests with a unique, first-hand experience with the Lodge’s expansive collection. Jill VanAusdal
Spa Director
Jill VanAusdal joined The Spa at Stein Eriksen in July of 2006 and has been an integral in spearheading the 7.5 million dollar spa renovation and development of the Spa at Stein Eriksen’s signature treatments. She has been a Spa Director for 10 years and involved in the beauty industry for nearly 20 years. She is responsible for day-to-day operations, working closely with all operational staff, and catering to our spa guests. Prior to SEL, she served as Spa Director at the Hyatt Lake Las Vegas Resort, and the Spa Director at the Hyatt Waikiki in Honolulu. Her accomplishments there include renovation of existing 13,000-square-foot spa and salon facility. Jill was also involved in the development of a new spa menu, including wellness, indigenous products and treatments, and fitness programs.
