Deer Valley Hotels and Working it Out

Posted on May 10, 2012 by steinlodge | in Happening in Park City, The Lodge, The Spa, Uncategorized | No Comments »

Food is a substantial portion of any vacation. At Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley you won’t find food like ours at any other Deer Valley hotel. Your stomach will be satisfied with house made chocolates and plates from our Four Star Restaurant. However, all that food can start to make your pants fit a little tighter; but don’t worry we have the solution. At Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley we offer fitness classes they can help you firm up and burn calories.

Deer Valley hotels: cardio

At Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley, a premier Deer Valley hotel, you can burn up to 600 calories in our Afterburn class. You’ll peel off the chocolate by putting your body through a cardio and weight lifting workout. Afterburn is a mix of a few different work outs. These work outs include dance, kick boxing, Pilates and yoga. It sounds harsh, but with the upbeat music and fun choreography you’ll forget you’re working out.

Deer Valley hotels: working the muscles

If dancing isn’t your thing, other fitness classes can be found at this Deer Valley hotel. Our upper and lower body blast classes will blow away the calories by combining weights and cardio. These classes focus on toning your body, as well as burning off fat.

If you want to focus on your stomach, we offer a Core and More class. This class works numerous muscles while focusing on the core. Working on your stomach will help you lose weight and become stronger.

Deer Valley hotels: private classes

In addition to all the group classes, our Deer Valley hotel offers private classes. To schedule a session of pure well-being contact 435.645.6475 or spa@steinlodge.com

It is no secret that spa treatments feel wonderful. Someone gently massages your hurt and tired muscles while soft music plays. The gentle pressure applied to your muscles and the soothing sounds leave you feeling relaxed and calm. Although it sounds wonderful, some people are hesitant about spa treatments for modesty purposes.

At Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley, home to Utah’s only Five Star Spa, each guest can customize their experience to suite their needs. Locker room feature private changing rooms and plush terry cloth robes in each of the key-less lockers.  Before the treatment you and your therapist will discuss the treatment and each guest can decide how to dress according to their comfort level. The professional therapists take great care to modestly drape clients throughout all the treatments.

Signature Wellness Treatments

Regardless of a treatment you are left in the treatment room at the beginning and end of treatment to remove and put your robe back on before returning to the relaxation room and locker room with hot tub, saunas and plush couches.

There are two wet-room designated for Vichy shower treatments.  In the center of the room is a massage bed with a cascading adjustable Vichy rain-bar above it. During  the signature Stein Body Polish treatment a rich mixture of cedar, sage and salt crystals are massaged to exfoliate and revive skin cells while you lay on a treatment bed with modestly draped towels.

During a facial you lie on a massage table with warm blankets covering your body.  A typical facial involves massage of shoulders and upper chest and can be customized to suite guests needs.

All massages in the personalized body work category are aimed to bring wellness and relaxation to the guest. The professional therapists will skillfully adjust sheets during the treatments to provide complete modesty to the client.

Whatever treatment you choose rest assured our spa specialist will treat with respect and make you feel comfortable. Feel free to contact the Spa Concierge with any questions about your treatment.

Welcome to The Stein Line

Posted on April 10, 2009 by Sarah Myers | in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

A few weeks ago I was browsing through old files and came across a four-color glossy newsletter named the Stein Line. It had not been published for several years and we thought what better way to bring it back then as a blog.

I am very excited to provide a venue where owners, loyal patrons and past and future guests can visit to learn about what goes on at the Lodge. As the PR and Marketing Manager of the Lodge I will update the blog regularly with news, interesting facts and events. I welcome you to post comments and become involved with the Stein Lodge Community.
