View of the Spa from Silver Lake Village
The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge renovation is on schedule and will open on December 4, 2009. With the expansion from 9 to 16 treatment rooms we have the flexibility to add new and exiting treatments to the 2009/2010 winter spa menu.

The Women's Relaxation Room
While the entire treatment menu is designed to combat the high altitude and dry climate in Park City, there are some exiting new treatments worth noting. First, The Great Salt Stone Therapy treatment which utilizes salt candles and salt massage stones to remove toxins from the air and body through the production of negative ions. The Crystalliline Gemstone Facial that utilizes the energy of micronized crystalline gemstones blended with bentonite clay to create a high energy, tightening and detoxifying result. Lastly, the High Altitude Package which combines three of the spa’s signature treatments with a focus on replenishing the body’s oxygen supply.

The outdoor heated pool deck
The new fitness facilities will include a wide selection of fitness equipment, including resistance machines, weights, stair machines, and treadmills. Guests can also enjoy breathtaking views of Deer Valley Resort from the year round outdoor heated pool, unwind in the outdoor hot tub and gather around the new fire place which was installed during the recent 2,000 square foot expansion of the deck.

The spa renovation is well underway. As you turn onto Stein Way, you now see the dirt road that was created for all the machinery. Today I went to investigate and see the progress. I was amazed at how much of the building has been removed. The entire front face of the spa has been removed along with an third of the building (the right side).

The first stages of the Spa expansion have begun
I am pleased to announce that The Spa has been vacated and relocated to suite 271 for the summer.
Despite the light rain the backhoe is busy excavating the land adjacent to the existing spa where the expansion will be built.
