Spa Renovation Progress

The spa renovation is well underway.  As you turn onto Stein Way, you now see the dirt road that was created for all the machinery. Today I went to investigate and see the progress. I was amazed at how much of the building has been removed. The entire front face of the spa has been removed along with an third of the building (the right side).

Dessert First

Who said you can’t have dessert first? Not me. I brought guests from out of town to the Lodge for dessert in the Troll Hallen Lounge. It was amazingly difficult to pick just one dish from all the luscious desserts created here at the Lodge, so we ordered three of them to share; crème brûlée, Belgian Chocolate Decadence and Berries & Champagne Sabayon. I was able to snap a quick photo of the crème brûlée before it was devoured.

Sunny Days

 I took the time today to walk around the property to enjoy the sunshine. This has to be one of my favorite times of year at the Lodge. The tulips are in full bloom, the mountains are lush and green, temperatures hover in the 70′s and everyone is busy making final preparations for the summer season.

Notable Summer Dates

June 19- Stein Eriksen Sports will open again with bike rentals and summer apparel. Deer Valley Resort opens their lift-served mt. biking and hiking.

July 4- Stein’s 8th Annual BBQ on the Glitretind deck (reservations 435-645-6455)

July 9 – 12 – 5th Annual Park City Food & Wine Classic on Main Street in Park City

August 15 – Elvis Costello with the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley Resort
